Rum Don Papa Baroko
Don Papa Baroko is a fine Philippine rum, produced on the island of Negros using local sugar cane molasses and water from the nearby mountains. The name Baroko comes from the Filipino term meaning "baroque", a reference to the Spanish influence in the culture of the Philippines.
This rum is aged for a minimum of seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and bottled at 40% ABV.
It has a sweet and spicy character, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel. The flavor is soft and round, with a persistent and spicy finish.
Don Papa Baroko is an elegant and complex rum, suitable both to be enjoyed neat and as an ingredient in sophisticated cocktails.
Its bottle, inspired by the local flora of the Philippines, is decorated with floral and tribal motifs that recall the culture of the island of Negros.
