CAMPARI BITTER

Bitter Campari is a liqueur obtained from the infusion of bitter herbs, aromatic plants and fruits in alcohol and water. The recipe with which it is prepared is known to very few workers in the production process, however there are those who hypothesize that there are over 20, perhaps even up to 80, ingredients in its formulation. It has an intense aroma reminiscent of grapefruit and orange, to which are added herbaceous and clove notes. In the mouth it is characterized by a pleasant bitter taste, perceived on a warm and velvety background. Its versatility makes it an excellent base for the preparation of famous cocktails such as Americano, Spritz and Negroni Sbagliato. Perfect as an aperitif.

Wine gentian - Chiarino

Typical liqueur from Abruzzo, obtained from the infusion of gentian lutea root in white wine for 40 days with the addition of alcohol and sugar. Always the most drunk in Abruzzo.

GENTIANA CHIARINO The name of the plant derives from Gentius, the last King of Illyria, reigning between 180 and 168 BC. who was the first to discover it and valorise it. Given the purity and authenticity of the medicinal properties of the root, it was used by the Greeks to fight fever.

It is characterized by a bitterish flavor and a sweetish smell, thanks to the quality of the roots which, immediately after harvesting, are cleaned of excess earth, cut into pieces and dried in the sun until its interior reaches the classic yellow color.

It is an authentic digestive, thanks to its very root which contains various active ingredients, and among these the most important are: gentiopicrin which stimulates the digestive function of the stomach by promoting the secretion of gastric juices and amarozine, the bitterest substance known. With its amber color and intense bitter taste, it is the end of a meal by definition, and an indispensable presence on every table, also due to the richness of the typical Abruzzo menu.

Amaro Black Bitter Orange Valle del Marta

A liqueur prepared with the cold hydroalcoholic infusion of herbs and roots grown and harvested in the valley of the Marta river, in Tarquinia.

The citrus fruit is given by the infusion of the peel (only the orange part) of the "merangola or merangolo" an orange typical of the Italian peasant tradition.

In the town of Tarquinia there are traces of this shrub as early as 1300, where farmers used the juice of the fruit to flavor the bruschetta, or the zest to perfume some types of vegetables during cooking.

Description: Visually, the bitter has a color ranging from burnt amber to black coffee, against the light with amaranth streaks. The scent of citrus prevails, leaving only little room for the spicy and herbaceous notes that characterize a bitter. The flavor is complex, enveloping, pleasant, rich in flavor .
