The licorice plant grows spontaneously along the Calabrian coasts. Only these soils allow the optimal development of glycyrrhizina, the peculiar active principle of licorice juice, for at least two centuries the known properties of this legume have been exploited for the preparation of candies.
A licorice-flavored liqueur has recently been put into production that is gaining a big consensus from the public .
Almost black in color and with a sweet taste, has the typical aroma of the essence.
Excellent digestive, if tasted cold.
