Founded in 1875 in Antrodoco by Nicola Pallini, in 1917 the company, until then essentially artisan, is transferred to Rome, where the first distillery is opened, and begins to assert itself mainly for the production of liqueurs based on anise. In the 1960s, Virgilio junior, born in 1935, still president of the company whose daughter Micaela is managing director, in 1968, realized that the Sambuca Romana had great potential, thus starting export to foreign markets, particularly favoring the United States. Today the company is a leader in Italy in the production of anise-based liqueurs, also developing products such as the Limoncello, established in more than 40 countries and market leader in the Duty Free segment in the Limoncelli category. The company has won numerous awards and awards in international competitions.
