Bitter Campari is a liqueur obtained from the infusion of bitter herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in alcohol and water. The recipe with which it is prepared is aware of very few professionals in the production process, however there are those who hypothesize there are more than 20, perhaps even up to 80, ingredients in its formulation. It has an intense aroma reminiscent of grapefruit and orange, to which weeds and cloves are added. In the mouth is characterized by a pleasant bitter taste, perceived on a warm and velvety background. Amara is produced in small quantities, in a completely artisanal way, through seven infusions of the rind of the best red orange of Sicily Igp.
The fruits come from orange groves that lay their roots on the lava soil of the slopes of Etna a few kilometers from Catania. Vulcan is also the soil from where spring water flows, a fundamental element to give balance to Amaro Amara.
The peel extract adds an infusion of aromatic herbs from the formula and secret dosage and finally sugar. Each small batch of Amara is bottled without adding additives or dyes.

The recipe of Amaro Montenegro includes the use of 40 aromatic herbs and a complex process of extraction and mixing that make the product unique and inimitable. To make Amaro Montenegro we select 40 aromatic herbs, especially spices, dried fruit, roots, seeds, barks, citrus peels, rhizomes, flowers and woods from the four corners of the world! The Dolce part is given mainly by: Cinnamon, Cloves and nutmeg; the part Amara: Oregano, Maggiorana and Coriandolo; the citrus part: Orange.

Distillate with over 40 different types between herbs and spices, the lover Unicum is one of Europe's oldest herbal liqueurs, with over 200 years of history behind it. It is said that in 1790 Dr. Zwack, court physician of Joseph II Emperor of Hungary offered the king a sip of this herbal digestive and that the King's comment was "das ist ein unikum!", thus baptizing this unique bitterness. The spices and herbs come from 5 continents and are collected and hand-picked, following the traditional recipe and aging takes place for years in oak barrels, with alternate tastings by a special commission of tasters.
