Braulio amaro del Stelvio

Amaro Braulio was born in 1875 from the recipe of pharmacist Francesco Peloni in Bormio and is the result of a wise and still secret mixing of berries, barks, herbs and roots.

The particular process of infusion at ambient temperature of herbs, placed in pure alcohol and water that comes from the alpine springs and the permanence of 15 months in Slavonia oak barrels contribute to giving Braulio a complex and balsamic taste.

Great to taste with ice.

Red Bitter Cherry Valle del Marta

It is a bitter liqueur prepared with a base of aromatic herbs, fruits and spices.

The dominant characteristic is the visciola or sour cherry, a small and particularly coloured fruit, with a slightly sweet and acre flavor even if ripe. The cold water infusion of this fruit gives the liquid an intense bright red color. The aroma enhances the scent of cherry; despite the bitter herbs typical of a digestive liqueur, the taste is pleasant, almost tamed with red fruit that persists even in the aftertaste.

Genziana di vino - Chiarino

Typical liquor of Abruzzo, obtained from the infusion of the root of gentian lutea in white wine for 40 days with addition of alcohol and sugar. Ever drunkest in Abruzzo.

JENICE _ The name of the plant comes from Gentius, the last King of Illyria, reigning between 180 and 168 a.C. who was the first to discover it and to value it. Given the purity and authenticity of the medicinal properties of the root, it was used by the Greeks to combat fever.

It is characterized by a bitter taste and a sweetish smell, thanks to the quality of the roots that, immediately after the harvest, are cleaned from the excess land, cut into pieces and dried in the sun until its interior reaches the classic yellow color.

It is an authentic digestive, thanks to its own root that contains various active ingredients, and among them the most important are: the genziopicrin that stimulates the digestive function of the stomach, favoring the secretion of gastric juices and bittergenzine, the bitterest substance that is known. From amber color and intense bitter taste, it is the end meal by definition, and indispensable presence on each table, also for the richness of the typical menu 'Abruzzese.

A liqueur prepared with the cold hydro-alcoholic infusion of herbs and roots grown and collected in the valley of the Marta river, in Tarquinia.

The aggrumato is given by the infusion of the peel (only the orange part) of the «merangola or merangle» an orange typical of the Italian peasant tradition.

In the town of Tarquinia there are traces of this shrub since 1300, where farmers used fruit juice to aromatize bruschetta, or the peel to smell some types of vegetables during cooking.

Description: Visively the bitter has a color ranging from the burned amber to black coffee, in the backlight with bitter streaks. In the perfume prevails the scent of citrus that leaves only little space to the spicy and herbaceous notes that characterize a bitter. The taste is complex, enveloping, pleasing, rich in taste
