Born in 1859: Luigi Moretti opened the Birra and Ice Factory in Udine, when Friuli was still part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He is thirty-seven years old, comes from a family of wholesale traders and carries long mustache.
1960: A year of tests, experiments and attempts, and from the factory of Luigi comes out the first bottle of Birra Moretti.
Today it is the most sold lager in Italy and is exported to over 40 countries.
