Rum Don Papa Baroko
Don Papa Baroko is a fine Filipino rum, produced on the island of Negros using the local sugar cane molasse and the water of the nearby mountains. The name Baroko derives from the Filipino term meaning "barocco", a reference to Spanish influence in the culture of the Philippines.
This rum is aged for a minimum of seven years in American oak barrels ex-bourbon and bottled at 40% alcohol volume.
It has a sweet and spicy character, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel. The taste is soft and round, with a persistent and spicy finish.
Don Papa Baroko is an elegant and complex rum, suitable for both smooth and as an ingredient in sophisticated cocktails.
Its bottle, inspired by the local flora of the Philippines, is decorated with floral and tribal motifs that recall the culture of the island of Negros.
