Amázzoni is not only the first gin created in Brazil in a dedicated distillery, but from this land it contains five ingredients never before used as botanical principles in a gin.
Juniper berries, of course, and then pink pepper, bay leaf, lemon, mandarin and coriander with the addition of the five Amazonian ones.
Ingredients donated from the heart of the forest and never before used in the preparation of a gin: cocoa, Brazilian chestnut, maxixe, water lily and cipò cravo.
The ingredients - 11 in all, for a winning formation - are macerated in their natural state in cereal alcohol and their infusion then poured - in proportions calibrated by the skilful recipe of ' Capitan Tato 'Giovannoni - in the large copper still, the first ever designed and cast in Brazil, the beating heart and pride of La Cachoeira.
