The wines of the winery Fontana Delle Selve.

Cantina Fontana Delle Selve, was born in Castelvenere at the end of the nineties, resuming the ancient wine activity of the Falato family. The commitment around which the company was built inevitably originates from the wine vocation of the territory of Castelvenere, an ancient village of medieval origin that gave birth to San Barbato. Its entire territory, today a symbol of Samnite viticulture, takes shape, color and scent right around the vine, just as the life of its inhabitants is marked by the vegetative era of this plant. Our work starts from the ground and the vine, in the knowledge that only a responsible and balanced relationship with these elements is able to protect the natural resource and, therefore, generate value.

Today Castelvenere boasts a very fertile territory, surrounded by rolling hills. It is crossed by the Calore river, the Seneta stream that rises, 600 m, from Mount Coppa and pours into the Calore river. Agricultural production is mainly focused on the cultivation of grapes (in fact Castelvenere is the most réed country in the Campania region) from which an excellent wine is obtained. The territory of Castelvenerese is divided into four districts: Foresta, Marraioli, Petrara, Tore. Together with 40 other municipalities in the Campania region, it is part of the national association of wine cities. It is part of the Titerno mountain community.
