Fontamara wines of Abruzzo

Before an imaginary country, before a world-famous novel, first of all, FONTAMARA represents an ancestral way of man to relate to the earth. To that ancient life, in which the Abruzzo writer Ignazio Silone placed his choral story, we wanted to dedicate this range of wines of ours. Wines that have their roots in the tradition of Abruzzo, in vineyards cultivated for generations, in regular peasant fatigue. "The years passed, the years accumulated, the young became old, the old died, and sown, weaned, sunk, sunk, harvested, harvested. And then again? All over again. Every year like the previous year, every season like the previous season" – as Silone describes it. Of course, the world has also changed in FONTAMARA, and so the way of making wine, today technical, rigorous, selective, attentive to the quality and expression of the vine. The sour, elementary wine of old is barely a memory.
