The Second World War had just ended and, in that of Civitavecchia, Angelo MOLINARI began to produce and distribute, all over the world, this sweet and strongly aromatic liqueur: the Sambuca Extra MOLINARI. From the ancient origins, which even date back to the Carthussian herbal tradition,sambuca takes its name from the plant from which the extractis extracted, the elderflower,although the main ingredient is theessential oil obtained from the distillationof the star anise, a particularspice(whose seeds are harvested in a star-shaped pod) that gives it that unique and characteristic aroma.

Sambuca 30% from Valle del Marta is visually transparent, the indistinguishable fresh notes of anise stand out on the nose, the palate immediately shows a good balance between the alcohol content, the sugar density and the flavor of star anise that it persists in the mouth also thanks to the density determined precisely by the percentage of sugar present in the infusion.

Sambuca 30% due to its alcohol content is combined with the best known use of this liqueur, as a coffee correction, smooth or with an ice cube or as per a typical Italian tradition, "alla mosca" or, with a grain of brewed coffee in the glass.
